Seattle is cold!

Apparently Seattle is now a town which requires an ice scraper! I've had to use mine quite a bit on these super freezing mornings we've been having. Last night we went running at greenlake, and it was about 30 degrees out. However it was a super clear sky full of stars and a full moon!

The workout went pretty well, although for some reason I was slower than normal. We did one mile at our "lactic threshold" pace, then a lap at an easy recovery pace, then repeated for about 30 minutes. Usually I run about 8.5 min miles, when I'm pushing myself like that, however I was doing more like 9.5 last night, which is almost at my normal running speed. I'm blaming it on either the cold weather, or me not pushing myself enough... I need to remember to calculate what my 85% hr is, because I think I was below that - which implies I should have just gone faster.

I still got in 4.5 miles, which is pretty good. The triathlon is coming up soon, less than 3 months to go!

Miles logged so far:
Run: 61.5 miles
Bike: 70 miles
Swim: 10150 yards
